I was at my highest weight when I realized I didnt want to be that way anymore. I had the lap band procedure done and it helped alot! I lost 75 pounds. I felt a ton better! Then I went through a terrible divorce. Of course me the food lover did not follow my restrictions and gained back about 30 pounds. I feel terrible all the time and I LOVE junk food. So here I am, trying a little different avenue to get down to the weight I want. Then I can use my lap band to maintain my awesome goal! 2015 is MY year! :) |

When I started by IP journey September 5, 2012 I never in a million years thought that a) I'd lose the weight as quickly as I did and b) that I'd keep it off for a whole year! I'd done other diets and I did lose weight and almost immediately after I'd gain it all back...and more. |

I first did the Ideal protein in 2011. And I was amazed with the results. I didn't have a lot to loose (about 10 pounds) but I didn't want to be on a diet for 6 months ! It took me a month and I was done !!! So when I reached that critical point when I was feeling to tight in my clothes again I started it again. It's been a little bit over a week now and 4.8 pounds are gone... |

Insulin dependent diabetic approaching 60 and I didn't want to do that being over weight. Tried a MILLION things to lose and nothing worked. This time I was successful in getting most of the weight off but started to yo-yo again. Phasing off then right back on....this works and I want it gone! |

At 55 years old I decided enough was enough! My parents were having a family get together at Thanksgiving and doing family photos. I decided I DID NOT want to be in them looking the way I did! My weight has always fluctuated and I was always heavy - even in high school. I lost a lot of weight in 2002, but met my future (3rd) husband, and that's all she wrote- we both love cooking and eating! I gradually gained it back. Not that I am surprised since I lost it doing SlimFast and Metabolife!! I have tried so many things! In April of 2013 I talked to my cousin and he told me how he had lost about 100 lbs, just by eating more healthy and doing a lot of walking. He inspired me to get back on the band wagon and so I started back with a personal trainer and trying to eat 1000 calories/day. That did work - I lost 14 lbs between April and August. That just wasn't fast enough for me!! I was in my chiropractor's office one day and decided to go to the presentation they were having about IP. They had had the system in their office for at least a year by then. I went to the presentation and signed up that night! It was the right time, everything fell into place! The first week I lost 5 lbs! Well that convinced me this was the program for me!! That was in August of 2013. It is now the end of February 2014 and I am 15 lbs from my goal! I have lost 75 lbs on IP and with the previous 14 before that, am down 89 total. I have lost 4 dress sizes and I am much happier and loving life! I can really enjoy my granddaughters and keep up with them now! I kick myself for not starting on IP sooner - but the timing has to be right!! |
